I’m currently binge watching Supernatural (for the 100th time, at least), and I just finished reading Stephen King’s “The Institute.” This Friday I get to spin fire, so I’m hoping for good weather! Everyone have a great week!

Currently Reading/Listening to an audiobook: Lonesome Dove. My step-dad used to love this book and read it many times. I'm doing the Modern Mrs. Darcy Reading Challenge and one item was to read a book from the decade you were born. Lonesome Dove fell into that category. I'm actually really enjoying it. The characters are very well written and the author is very descriptive.

Currently Watching: my daughter and I are rewatching Parks and Rec for the hundredth time. I just finished the One Child Nation documentary, and that was really powerful. I watched Cheer and I want Jerry to come give me mat talks all day, every day.

I'm reading and loving Strange Love by Ann Aguirre. As for shows I love, and want more of, The Repair Shop. It's a BBC show streaming on Netflix. It is so touching and sweet and cute and funny with amazing crafts people. I'm telling everyone I know about it. I also really love Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist on NBC. Dancing and singing and a touching story...what's not to love?

Earlier today I finished JD Barkers The Fifth to Die. A wicked ride. Soon after I was out the door for my morning walk. I bumped into my neighbor returning from her walk with her dog. She was coming from a street that has no sidewalks. I asked her why. She said her dog broke loose yesterday and started to dig in the side yard of the scary house. She had to pull him away. I knew exactly the one she was talking about. The Earth is trying to reclaim it. Overgrown trees, vines on the roof. The first time I walked by I stopped to look and an old woman's voice from inside asked me if I wanted something. After that I've walked on the other side. But after hearing about the dog there is something I want to check out.

I am reading WHY WE SLEEP by Matthew Walker. It has scared me into trying to get 8 hours of sleep per night. So far, I am struggling. The things that happen to your body when you don't get enough sleep are frightening. I also loved HOW RORY THORN DESTROYED THE MULTIVERSE and ALL THE STARS AND TEETH. I received an ARC of C. S. WHO SPEAKS FOR THE DAMNED. I highly recommend it and any of the other books in that series. I keep binge watching GOOD OMENS and A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES. I never get tired of them. Also if you want a really funny bad (intentionally bad- and they get it right)horror movie VELOCIPASTOR had me laughing until it hurt. It is about a Catholic priest who turns into a dinosaur and kills bad people with the help of a prostitute. Oh, and there are Ninjas.

Right now, I'm writing and not binging. When I take breaks from sprints, I'm into making altered composition notebooks. I've got tons of scrapbook paper and cardstock. With some cheap notebooks from eBay, mod-podge, bits/bobs/scraps of ribbon and embellishments I've collected over the years, I'm having fun! Because who can ever have too many notebooks???

I made my own journals last year. It was so fun. Of course, it didn't really slow down my buying habits. It's a sickness!

I did a wonderful writing workshop (specifically writing sex scenes) with Emily Nagoski a couple of years ago. The workshop was wonderful and she is absolutely lovely. I need to get this book as well. ;-)

That workshop was at this fantastic book store in Culver City, CA called The Ripped Bodice. I have since moved to central Oregon. ;-) But if you are near Culver City and don't know about that book store I highly recommend checking it out. It's a Romance bookstore and is owned and run by a couple of brilliant young women. Even if you don't read romance it's worth a visit if for no other reason than it's so well designed and is filled with people who LOVE books!

I just finished Martha Wells 1st book in the Murderbot series, All Systems Red. She won a HUGO for this I think. They are very short, but compelling. Not sure about the value of these, because they are so short, but I got them at a discount.

Recently finished William Gibson's new book, Agency, and was disappointed. The writing was good, but the story lacked an ending, it kinda ended in the middle and kept going. He is my favorite writer, so it wasn't a great experience.
