Friends, it’s Wednesday again. I made the mistake of watching the news this morning, so my woo is a little anemic today. So today I’m opening the mic for you to share your latest Woo experiences. Have you read a good book? Found an amazing new podcast? Did a stranger do something nice for you? Tell us all about it in the thread below.
I actually do have a podcast to recommend. Nicole Peeler recommended to me: The United States of Dolly. It's wonderful and a must-listen for anyone who loves Dolly Parton. As you all should.
Oh Jaye you're slipping. 😲Weird times afoot so you get a pass.
My woo comes from my husband. (Minds out of the gutter please.) We've been zooming with our family since this pandemic grounded us. Family from California, Florida, Kansas City, Seattle, and Japan tune in almost every day to talk about whatever crosses their minds (except politics) which as you can imagine creates an air of lively conversations and dead air. After a few lackluster meetings my hubby took it upon himself to emailed a pod cast to the family and instructed them to listens as we were going to talk about it at the next zoom meeting. The pod cast was from Redpilledamerica.com the episode is called 'Let there be Light." The tag line. Can science fiction bring us closer to God? It talks about a good many things, but the conversation on our zoom was the simulation hypothesis. Are we now living in a simulation ala The Sims. Some of our family were taken aback by the notion and could not possible wrap their brains around the concept. Some thought it was blasphemy. And others were completely on board. Take a listen for yourself. Enjoy, think, cuss me out for wasting an hour of your lockdown, make your friends listen to it and discuss, it's up to you. But if this is a simulation I want an upgrade cause this avatar someone's created for me is falling apart.
