I’ve been working from home for 17 years. I was a freelance writer and copy writer (and stay at home mom) before I got published. I know how hard it is to work from home, especially with a kiddo underfoot. So today’s post is some of my top tips for avoiding cabin fever.
FYI a write-in is where we all meet online (via Zoom or Skype) and encourage each other in doing writing sprints (usually about 30 minutes). During breaks we catch up and talk about our projects.
I'm totally down for write-ins. I still have to go to work... for now. We'll see if that changes. And as of now my kiddos are doing remote learning. I'm going to need every chance I can to get some words in.
I'm all for a write-in. If only I knew what it was.
I had a ritual/routine and then my husband's work schedule changed, and my son moved out of the country. Nothing makes you feel untethered like a kid, albeit an adult kid, moving to another country, Japan. I am finding it hard to ground myself and get back to wiring. I will put together a routine and try my damnedest to stick to it. Sounds like a New Year's resolution. Besides what else do I have to do for the next few weeks. 🙄
And, by the way, the routine, slightly, modified is mine as well. Been working for years. I even have a rhythm through the days of the week. I allow myself Friday and the weekend to do something I really love—genealogy. Come Monday, I am ready to go again, plus sometimes I find story. Bonus!

The write-in sounds good but I’m with Suzy, not sure what you mean by that term.

Leyna, write-ins=great idea. Anyone else?
I'm interested in write ins! I'm used to being home, but the husband and kids also being home will definitely mess with my usual way of doing things.
