Those is the post I needed today. (Are you reading my mind?) I've thrown my character into peril, but I haven't shown where his comfort zone is. Now that I think about it, it's a glaring mistake.
I hope this isn't out of line but I wanted to ask a writing question. Or a reading question.
Do you have an alpha reader and is it the same person every time? Also do they read while you're writing or wait until you're completely finished with the first draft word vomit?
Hi Suzy, I use betas readers once I have a solid draft completed. It's counterproductive for me to have people critique a work in progress because I write non-linearly. So I wait until I have a fairly solid story draft before getting feedback.
