Hi friends! We’ve almost reached the end of the month, which means we’re wrapping up our discussion on structure.
Today is the day to ask me any of your questions about story structure or storyboarding. Obviously this is a huge topic and I’ve only begun to scratch the surface, but I’m sure we’ll revisit the topic in the future. In the meantime, let me know your questions.
Also, do you have a favorite craft book on structure? Share it with everyone in comments! I’ll post a few of mine there, too.
As usual we’ve got two write-ins planned for this week. Tonight (Wednesday) we meet from 7-9 CST. Friday morning we write from 10:30-12:30 CST. If you haven’t joined us yet, please do!
Wednesday Write-In Registration
Note: You only have to register once for each write-in room. Once you have the link that Zoom sends you, you’ll use it to gain access each week.
UPDATE: I've canceled tonight (Wednesday's) write-in because I'm feeling under the weather. You should have gotten an email from Zoom confirming the cancellation. Thanks!
I have a hard time studying story structure and then writing. It's overwhelming for me. I've tried to read several books and I make it half way and then peter out.
Wired for story, by Lisa Cron, Story Trumps Structure, by Steven James and The Kick-Ass writer by Chuck Winding, which is just an entertaining read all be itself. Help!
