Knight of Swords

Deck used: Radiant Rider-Waite

We just can’t seem to escape the Swords this month. As a reminder, for the last two weeks, our card has been the same: Page of Swords. Now, this week, as I was shuffling from a different deck than last week the Knight of Swords (image below) leapt out.

Leaping is a good word for our Knight. He charges into battle hellbent on his mission. His single-minded focus may seem admirable, but it blinds him to everything else.

Questions to ask yourself this week:

-Am I ignoring the good advice of other people?

-Is my stubbornness blinding me to possible pitfalls in my plans?

Sometimes, this knight can indicate that it may seem like we’re aiming toward a goal, but really we’re just running away from a problem. Having a mission is great, but makes sure it’s actually backed up with a plan or you might find yourself right back where you started with some new bumps and bruises (literal or on your ego).

Remember, Mercury is still retrograde until November 3. For writers, this usually indicates that any new projects undertaken will need significant revision in the future. So do your homework and seek out advice from trusted mentors and friends before you charge off on some new course.
