Sovereignty

She invites you into her garden

To explore her earthly delights

And you claim her peaks

With flags and gold

Or mark her soft real estate

As your domain

But the map of her heart

Is not land to be conquered

Don’t try to name

Her unknowable regions

Or tame her wild frontier

This deep country will never belong to you
